PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mount a sealing device on various kinds of devices such as bearing device by mounting the sealing device from the inside of a mounting groove into the mounting groove by a holding member, and providing with a spring property for fixing the sealing member in the mounting groove. SOLUTION: Since a holding member is provided with a spring property, the whole of a sealing device made of a holding member and a sealing member 1 is deformed elastically. In the case where the device is mounted in a mounting groove 54, the sealing device is elastically deformed in a nearly heart shape viewed from an axial direction so as to shorten the outer diameter size of the sealing device smaller than the inner diameter size of a housing temporarily, the sealing device is inserted into the inner circumferential side of the mounting groove 54, and force for deforming the sealing device and contracting the diameter thereof is eliminated. As a result, the sealing device is elastically reverted annually, and mounted in the mounting groove 54. It is thus possible to carry out mounting work of the sealing device after a plurality of housings are arranged in an axial direction, increase the freedom of an order for assembling a device, and improve workability. |
