PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a need to use a special jig when a pipe and a connector, of which a coupling device for a piping consists, are separated away from each other and to hold a connector housing without a retainer located between the pipe and the connector housing remaining on the pipe after separation. SOLUTION: A well known retainer 17 of a resilient material is located between a pipe 14 and a connector housing 15. In the coupling state of a coupling device, the first engaging edge 26a of a pair of flexible engagement parts 26 positioned facing each other arranged in the middle part of the retainer 17 is engaged with an engaging protrusion 18 on the pipe 14 side, a second engaging edge 26b is fitted in the engaging opening 20 of the connector housing 15 and engaged with an engaging edge 19. Parts situated in the vicinity of a pair of the second engaging edges 26b are integrally intercoupled through a fixing wall 28 serving as a distance fixing means. |
