PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a pigment having excellent image storing performance by mixing a metal salt to a pigment produced by reacting an aromatic dialdehyde with ammonia or a primary amine. SOLUTION: The objective pigment contains at least one kind of pigment produced by the reaction of (A) an aromatic dialdehyde (e.g. o-phthalaldehyde or a substituted o-phthaladehyde) with (B) ammonia or a primary amine (preferably an amino acid) and further contains (C) a metal salt (preferably at least one kind of metal salt selected from among Ni, Cu, Cr, Co and Zn). A toner for electrophotography can be produced by adding 0.01-15 pts.wt. of the pigment to a binder resin. A remarkable density depression of a color-developing pigment with light can be suppressed by the present invention.
|
