COOLING STRUCTURE FOR DRY TYPE CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the cooling structure for a continuously variable transmission to produce a muffling effect and improve intake efficiency. SOLUTION: A belt chamber S incorporating a dry type continuously variable transmission 2 is formed in a case body 1 and constituted to cool the interior through introduction of outside air in the belt chamber S. A recessed part 1c having a communication port 1d opened to the outside is formed in the case body 1. A recessed part 1c is covered with a half-division-form cover body 11 from the outside, and an intake passage R is formed between the recessed part 1c and the cover body 11. A noise absorbing material 13 is stuck and mounted on the inner peripheral surface of the cover body 11 and a filter 14 is stretched on the recessed part 1c side of the cover body 11 throughout a whole surface.
