PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a satisfactory and stable electric connection even in a flat conductor having a high density about 0.3mm pitch by providing contact arms thinned to a base part including a solder tail, and arranged horizontally one over another. SOLUTION: A high density type electric connector 10 is formed of a housing 20, a slider 30, a first contact 40 and a second contact 50. Each contact 40, 50 is substantially flat as the whole, and formed of a base part 41, 51 containing a solder tail 43, 53 with small thickness and a contact arm 42, 52 with large thickness, and each contact 40, 50 is arranged in such a manner that it is not mutually superposed in the base part 41, 51 in the line direction of each contact 40, 50, but superposed only in the arms 42, 52. Consequently, the tail 43, 53 can be stably surface-mounted and connected to the pad of a mounting circuit board by reflow solder. Thus, the arm 42, 52 can avoid the possibility of mutual connection (short-circuit) of the adjacent contacts even in a high density mounting at a pitch of about 0.3mm. |
