PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the changing pitch of the altitude readable from an electronic timepiece instantaneously by constituting the timepiece so that it can simultaneously display both the elapsed time as a stop watch and the relative altitude of the present location of the timepiece to that of the location where the timepiece was started. SOLUTION: The electronic timepiece has a total of six modes, such as a basic clock mode 1, alti-chrono mode 5, etc. An external control member is composed of buttons A to E 7-11. When the button E 11 is pressed, the mode is switched to the alti-chrono mode 5 from the basic clock mode 1 and, when the button 11 is pressed in the mode 5, the timepiece starts to operate. When the button E 11 is pressed during measurement, the timepiece stops. In the alti-chrono mode 5, the timepiece displays a stop watch function, the altitude value of the present location, and the altitude difference between the present location and starting location in each displaying section. The altitude value is found by converting the pressure value measured by means of a pressure sensor. When the button D 10 is pressed during measurement, in addition, a split display is made and, when the button D is again pressed, the split display is canceled. |
