PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the reduction of resistance to a belt fatigue by forming a first belt strip opposite a carcass ply to have a maximum width larger than a second belt strip. SOLUTION: A belt structure 3 includes a belt strip 5 adjacent to a carcass structure 2 and a second belt strip 6 superposed thereon. The first belt strip 5 is formed to have a width L larger than the width L1 of the second belt structure 6. Preferably, the width L (also indicating the maximum width of the entire belt structure 3) is set to 95% of the largest limit of the maximum width W of a tread band. Since the side end part 5a of the first ply 5 is disposed in a position away from a carcass ply 2a, the fracture of tire is extended in the direction of a side wall and the integration of a carcass reinforcing structure is protected. Further, an elastomer insert 10 can be provided between the flaps 5b and 6b of the belt strips 5 and 6. |
