PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the length of a reflection mirror. SOLUTION: The reflection mirror 5 reflecting the scanning light L1 of a rotary polygon mirror 3 toward a rotary drum through the window 8 of an optical box 7 is supported by a mirror supporting body 9 integrated with the side wall 7a of the box 7. The supporting body 9 is provided with a faced surface 9a inclined to be tapered along the divergent angle of the scanning light L1 from the window 8 so as to support the mirror 5 by the upper part of the faced surface 9a. Thus, the whole length of the mirror 5 is shortened and the material cost thereof is reduced in comparison with a case that the faced surface 9a of the supporting body 9 is formed to be vertical to the bottom wall 7b of the box 7. |
