PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for conveying a film by which a packaging bag can be produced conveniently and with accuracy. SOLUTION: In the conveyance according to this method a film for packaging having marks 30 each with a prescribed width and positioned at intervals matching the breadth of a packaging bag is fed bag portion after bag portion intenaittently by a motor 10 which rotates as directed by a driving pulse number. In this instance the driving pulse number can be set for a plurality of stages including both a large pulse number and a small pulse number with a basic pulse number corresponding to an amount conveyed for one single bag as the basis and a mark detector 15 for detecting the mark 30 every time the film is brought in an intermittent conveyance is provided in a setup to control the rotation of the motor 10 in such a way, when the mark detector 15 has continuously detected the mark 30 a preliminarily set number of times, as to decrease the driving pulse number to a downward number next to the number then in use and, when the detection of the mark 30 has not reached the preliminarily set number of times by continuous detection, in such a way as to increase the driving pulse dumber to an upward number next to the number then in use.
