PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nickel hydrogen secondary battery with its high utility rate of an active substance of which conductivity of nickel hydroxide particle surface being the main active substance of a positive electrode is enhanced. SOLUTION: At least any of cobalt hydroxide, cobalt oxide, and metal cobalt is positioned inside a battery case 1 in a state in which is comes into contact with an alkaline electrolyte 7 and is not conductive to a positive electrode 4, a negative pole 5, and the battery case 1, a conductive layer of cobalt oxyhydroxide is formed on a particle surface of the nickel hydroxide being a main active substance of the positive electrode 4, and active substance utility rate can be maintained highly. |
