PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To open and close a door at the opening and closing speed corresponding to the request of an operator by setting the target current, which is to be supplied to a motor, on the basis of the output from a load sensor, and controlling the current signal so as to be offset on the basis of the signal from an inclination sensor. SOLUTION: In a control means 6, target current to be supplied to a motor 8 is set on the basis of the output from a door handle load sensor 2 for detecting the operating force of a door handle for opening and closing a power assist slide door 1, and this current is controlled so as to be offset on the basis of the signal from an inclination sensor 3 for detecting the angle of inclination of an automobile in the fore and aft direction. A door opening and closing speed detecting means 5 detects the door 1 opening and closing speed at a position close to full opening position or a position close to full closing position, and the control means 6 controls so that the opening and closing speed coincides with the previously set speed. With this structure, assist for opening and closing door can be performed in response to the load applied to a door handle and angle of inclination, and the door can be opened and closed at the door opening and closing speed corresponding to the request of an operator. |
