PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a magnetic recording medium, which can form arbitrarily controlled irregularities accurately and economically. SOLUTION: When the manufacture of a recording medium having at least a nonmagnetic substrate 12, a magnetic layer and a lubricant layer is performed by this method, pulse layer is selectively applied on the region including the part, where a magnetic head is brought into contact with the recording medium through the mask having the opening part in a specified shape at the time of the starting and stopping of the recording medium. Then, the surface is made rouph, and many irregularity parts 22 are formed. |
