PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make dust hardly adhere to a wire incorporated in a corona electrifier or to surely remove the dust already adhering to the wire and to facilitate the recovery of electrification produced substance produced by corona discharge. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a ventilating path 31 along in the longitudinal direction of the inside of the corona electrifier 10 giving electrostatic charge to the surface of a photoreceptor 9, and two channels are allowed to communicate with the path 31 at side parts on both ends of the electrifier 10. An air blower 30 blows air from either channel 29a so as to cause uniform air flow along the wire 27 incorporated in the electrifier 10. Thus, the dust hardly adheres to the wire 27, and the dust adhering to the wire 27 is excellently removed. The electrification produced substance produced by the corona discharge of the electrifier 10 is ejected from the other channel 29b communicating with the path 31 at one side part of the electrifier 10, so that the electrification produced substance is easily recovered. |
