PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain good printing sensitivity, fixation, a resolution property, and preservability and, besides, prevent metallic glossiness from sustaining no bad influences due to the unevenness of an undercoat even in a transfer medium with unevenness in a thermal transfer sheet to be printed with characters or the like having metallic glossiness by transferring a metalized layer. SOLUTION: A mixture of wax and thermoplastic resin is used as an adhesive layer 6 on a metalized layer 5 provided on the base material 2, wherein the ratio of the thermoplastic resin to the wax is made smaller in the transfer medium side than in the metalized layer side 5 in the thickness direction of the adhesive layer 6. Also, a total content of the thermoplastic resin in the whole of the adhesive layer 6 is allowed to be 10-60wt.% relative to a total weight of the adhesive layer 6, and an ethylenic copolymer is employed for the thermoplastic resin. |
