PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve durability as a robber roller by reducing the abrasion of spiral projected stripes and preventing peeling from spiral grooves. SOLUTION: A core roller 10 is coated with a rubber layer, which is vulcanized to form a first coating layer 11 of a high modulus of elasticity, and spiral grooves 12 are formed symmetrically on the surface of the first coating layer 11. Next, a second coating layer 15 at least 5 mm in thickness made from a thermosetting elastomer with a modulus of elasticity lower than that of the first coating layer 11 is formed on the first coating layer 11 through an adhesive layer to fill up the spiral grooves 12 completely. After that, the surface of the second coating layer 15 is ground so that the second coating layer 15 of 1-3mm thickness is left on the surface of the first coating layer 11, and spiral projected stripes are formed on the surface of the second coating layer 15 along the spiral grooves 12 of the first coating layer 11. |
