PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid such danger that hands are caught between an opening/closing member and a main body, and easily open a cover even for little children, by providing a rotary damper in which a generating torque is different by the rotation of an arm, the mounting part of the arm or the rotary damper, and elastic means by which the arm is energized in a direction separated from the mounting part. SOLUTION: An opening/closing device such as a keyboard cover 6 is equipped with a rotary damper 2 in which a generating torque is different by a rotational direction when a casing and a rotary member 22 arranged in the casing are relatively rotated by the rotation of an arm 1, the mounting part 3 of the arm 1 or the rotary damper 2, and a coil spring as an elastic member by which the arm 1 is energized in a direction separated from the mounting part 3. Hereby, while the arm 1 is closed forwardly, tensile strength is generated in the coil spring by the arm 1, force by which the keyboard cover 6 is prevented from being closed is operated and applied so that the keyboard cover 6 may not be suddenly closed. On the other hand, while the arm 1 is opened rearwardly, restoring force is generated in the coil spring, and force to help the keyboard cover 6 open is operated and applied so that the keyboard cover 6 can be opened lightly. |
