The solid combustible product for the destruction of soot and, particularly, tarry deposits in smoke flues comprising a chemical and/or catalytic agent and has the following essential constituents (a) combustible particulate cellulosic material; (b) chemical and/or catalytic decomposition agent and (c) binder. Also claimed, is the method of preparation of the product and its use.
