A resilient hinge (1) comprising an inner sleeve (2) and an outer casing (3), said sleeve and casing being rigid and coaxial, as well as an elastomeric layer between said sleeve (2) and said casing (3). Two washers (6a, 6b) are mounted to the outside of the sleeve (2) and each end of the casing (3) forms a neck (10a, 10b). The elastomeric layer consists of a tube (8) in the space between the two flanges, and two elastomeric portions between each flange and the adjacent neck. The outer surface of the sleeve (2) includes two shoulders (5a, 5b) engaged by the two washers, and the elastomeric portion between each flange and the adjacent neck consists of an elastomeric ring insert (7a, 7b) supported on one of said washers (6a, 6b) opposite one of the necks (10a, 10b) of the casing (3).
