The invention relates to particle-shaped graft copolymers (A) comprising (a1) 15 to 70 wt. %, in relation to (A), of a graft base with a glass transition temperature of lower than 10 DEG C, based on (a11) 2.5 to 97.4 wt. %, in relation to (a1), of at least one alkyl acrylate with 1 to 30 C-atoms in the alkyl radical, (a12) 0 to 49.9 wt. %, in relation to (a1), of another mono-insaturated monomer which can be copolymerised with (a11), (a13) 0.01 to 7.5 wt. %, in relation to (a1), of a polyfunctional, cross-linking monomer, and (a14) 2.5 to 97.4 wt. %, in relation to (a1), of at least one monomer with an index of refraction nD<20> of greater than 1.50; and (a2) 30 to 85 wt. %, in relation to (A), of at least another polymerised phase in the presence of the product obtained after production of (a1) and comprising vinyl aromatic monomers, or a polar, ethylenically unsaturated monomer from the group of acrylonitrile, methacrylonitrile, ester of the (meth)acrylic acid with 1 to 20 C-atoms in the alkyl radical, maleic anhydride, (meth)acrylamide and/ or vinyl alkyl ether with 1 to 8 C-atoms in the alkyl radical, or mixtures thereof.
