<p>Water-based makeup compositions and methods for their preparation are disclosed. The compositions comprise a water-dispersible pigment having a nonionic coating, a lipid vesicle comprising one or more lipid components, and a cosmetically or pharmaceutically acceptable aqueous carrier, and possess unusual stability at low pH. A method for the preparation of such water-based makeup compositions is disclosed as well.</p> |
