Use of fatty alcohol poly:glycol ether compounds

The use of fatty alcohol polyglycol ethers for eliminating microdisperse air bubbles in radiation-cured coatings is claimed. These compounds are used in amounts of 0.2-5.0 wt% based on the paint formulation, and comprise polyglycol ethers of formula R-O-(-C2H4O-)x-(-C3H6O-)y-Z (I), in which R = 6-22C linear or branched alkyl group(s); x = 5-12; y = 1-3; x/y = 4-12; Z = H, 1-4C alkyl, acyl or (meth)acryloxy.
