Potato balls exit the machine through an adjustable gap between the end processing roll and a brush roll which throws back potato balls which are too big to the opposite side of the container. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - The machine comprises a container (2), to which potatoes (4) are added, and at least one rotatably driven processing roll (8-14) for converting the potatoes into round potato balls (6). A brush roll (26) in the bottom of the container extends parallel to the processing rolls and is spaced apart from them at one side of the container so that a gap (30) is formed between the brush roll and end processing roll. As the processing rolls are rotated they transport the potatoes and potato balls towards the gap, where the brush roll rotating in the same direction will transport sufficiently small potato balls through the gap. Potatoes or potato balls which are too big to fit through the gap are thrown back over to the other side of the container by the brush roll for further processing. |
