The radio unit (1) includes a casing (11) composed of a first part insertable in a column (14) and a second part which extends outwardly from the column. An electronic unit (12), an energy source (16) and possibly an antenna (13) are located in the casing. The energy source consists of a solar cell arranged on the surface of the second part. - The transmitter (10) can comprise a computer unit, in the form of a micro-processor and a transmitter unit. The microprocessor is provided with a memory for storing instructions and data. The microprocessor controls the transmitter and provides data for transmission. A receiver can incorporate a microprocessor, a converter circuit and a receiver unit provided with an antenna. |
