<p>An article (10) having a scuff resistant lustrous coating. The article (10) comprises a vitreous surface (40) with an inorganic based luster pigment layer (30) bonded to the vitreous surface (40). An organic layer (20) covers the luster pigment layer (30) to provide the scuff resistant coating.
