The valve drive is for an IC engine having two similar (intake and discharge) valves (1,2) per cylinder. The valves are loaded by a spring in closing direction. Each valve is actuated by a cam (4,5) of a cam shaft (3), via a lever (6,7). The lever is located on a shaft (8,9) in the cylinder head. Each cam has a part-cylindrical section (4a,5a), and a conical cam face (4b,5b), which extends in axial direction. The two cams are positioned mirror-fashion on the camshaft. The levers are positioned axially non-movable on separate aligned shafts. They are held with one end in bearing blocks (10), and the other ends are held on resp. in each other. The levers are moved together but in opposite directions, by a pressure medium. ADVANTAGE - Simultaneous similar stroke changes of esp. intake valves of a cylinder, simple and space-saving.
