ARRANGEMENT FOR SECURING COMPONENTS IN AN OPTICAL SYSTEM

The invention relates to an arrangement for securing components in an optical system, like lenses, frame rings and the like. The components guided axially in the tube are elastically held axially under a prestress. The object of the invention is to provide an arrangement for axially securing components, in which the prestress can be varied in determinable steps. This aim is attained in that a releasable securing ring (8) and the tube (1) have engagement components (9, 10) on concentric circumferential surfaces constructed as corresponding locking components. The engagement components (9) of the securing ring (8) can be brought into engagement with those (10) of the tube (1) under the action of an axially directed force, while the engagement components may be released by a force acting in the opposite direction. The prestress exerted by the securing ring on the components to be secured depends on the degree of coverage of the engagement components of the securing ring and the tube.
