Electrophotographic toner and developer comprising an azo magenta pigment

The use of azo-pigments of formula (I) as colourants in electrophotographic toners or developers, powders, powder lacquers, ink-jet inks and electret materials is claimed. The pigment powder has specific surface area > 70 (especially > 85) m<2>/g, length-to-breadth ratio of, on average, < 2.8:1 and average particle size d50 < 130 nm.
