The invention concerns a film cassette (10) for a photographic camera to receive a film strip (37) equipped with an edge perforation, consisting of a flat, parallelepipedal housing (20) with an exposure window (24) and a film mouth (44). In order to accommodate a film strip (37) with a sufficient number of frames, there is configured in the housing (20) of the film cassette (10) a circumferential, continuous film channel (21) extending in the longitudinal direction thereof, which passes by the exposure window (24) and opens into the film mouth (44). <IMAGE>
