<p>PURPOSE:To operate a desulfurization device in safety by providing an overflow pipe which has a cooling liquid take-out opening in a predetermined higher position than the upper cooling liquid take-out opening of a cooling liquid discharge pipe and the lower end of which is connected to a circulating tank. CONSTITUTION:A cooling tower 1 removes dusts from exhaust gas by a cooling liquid 8 and an absorption tower 3 receives the exhaust gas from which the dusts have been removed by the cooling tower 1 and removes sulfur compounds from the exhaust gas by a absorbent slurry. A cooling liquid discharge pipe 7 is connected to the bottom of a sump 2 below the cooling tower 1 and a circulating tank 4 receives the cooling liquid through this discharge pipe 7. The cooling liquid in the circulating tank 4 is sent back to the cooling tower 1 by a circulating pump 5. An overflow pipe 17 is provided, which has a cooling liquid take-out opening in a predetermined higher position than the upper cooling liquid take-out opening of the discharge pipe 7 and the lower end of which is connected to the circulating tank 4. As a result, a safe operation of the subject desulfurization device can be assured.</p> |
