PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To capacitate an artificial arm embracively hold a part of the body of a nersed person without strongly pressing it by filling up an electroviscous fluid in this artificial arm made up free of bending in use of the characteristic of this electroviscous fluid and, after making this arm adhere to the body of the nursed person, locking the arm after impressing it with voltage. SOLUTION: The whole body of an arm part 2 is covered with an insulative tube 3, and plural pieces of core electrodes 4 bundled after winding a cord (b) spirally are housed in this arm part 2. The tube 3 is sealed at both ends, filling up an electroviscous fluid 6 in the inner part, and this fluid 6 is made so as not to be leaked to the outside. An outer boundary of each core electrode 4 is coated with an insulative sleeve 5 which is impregnated in the electroviscous fluid 6. The core electrode 4 is attached tight to a stationary plate 8 whose one end is connected to a body part, and the other end is turned to a free end, and a power source 7 is connected so as to make the polarity of the core electrode 4 and other core electrodes 4 surrounding the former vary. |
