PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly transmit an awakening alarm when the reaction time from the generation of an alarm from a vehicle-to-vehicle distance alarm device to the decelerating operation by a driver tends to be increased by continuously measuring and recording the reaction time. SOLUTION: A program control circuit sets a timer to measure a reaction time when a vehicle-to-vehicle distance alarm signal is inputted. When a foot is separated from an accelerator pedal, the time from the vehicle-to-vehicle distance alarm signal to it is measured as a reaction time ta and successively recorded. When the brake pedal is operated, the time from the vehicle-to-vehicle distance alarm signal to it is similarly measured as a reaction time tb and successively recorded. The thus-recorded content of a memory is read to judge whether the reaction time t. (or tb is increased continuously three times or not. When it is continuously increased three times, it is judged that a driver is in dozing state, and an alarm signal is transmitted to an awakening buzzer and an awakening device to generate an awakening alarm. |
