PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lighten a burden when a user operates, by displaying a rough map between an entrance IC(interchange) and an exit IC along with a recommended course of ordinary roads connecting a start point and the entrance IC and, the exit IC and a destination. SOLUTION: A display on a display 9 makes easy to indicate and confirm a route passing an ordinary road 33 from a start point 31 to an entrance IC 32, a rough map 37 from the entrance IC 32 and an exit IC 34 and a route running an ordinary road 36 from the exit IC 34 to a destination 35. If a user wishes to know more in detail how is the recommended course of the ordinary roads and expressway after the recommended course is calculated, the constitution of the whole of the recommended course is automatically detected, so that the user is not required to manipulate a display scale and a display center position for each recommended course. The recommended course can be easily displayed and confirmed with the user's manipulation burden lessened. |
