PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an instrument panel having beautiful appearance while permitting smooth expansion of an air bag into a cabin. SOLUTION: This instrument panel comprises an instrument panel lower member 11 facing an occupant seat of an automobile and an instrument panel upper member 31 covering approximately end to end in vehicle width direction the upper side of the lower member 11, and an air bag device 60 is disposed on the reverse side of the lower member 11. The lower member 11 is provided with an air bag expansion opening 14. The upper member 31 is attached to the lower member 11 so that the upper member 31 is slid foward the occupant seat by the air bag expansion by a prescribed distance and then rotated upward. |
