PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the changeover method on the occurrence of a fault with respect to connection to a client using a LAN adaptor in the system of duplicate configuration of operating system/standby system. SOLUTION: An IP address and a MAC address of a LAN adaptor 2 of an operating system and a LAN adaptor 4 of a standby system are respectively selected the same. In the usual state, the LAN adaptor 2 of the operating system is valid and the LAN adaptor 4 of the standby system is set to the standby state. On the occurrence of a fault at a host side, when a changeover of devices is required, the LAN adaptor 2 of the operating system is set invalid and the LAN adaptor 4 of the standby system is revised into the valid state. |
