PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject coating containing a graft polymer having a polystyrene main chain and specific graft chains and having small particle diameters, suitable for thin film coatings, excellent in a positive charge property and useful for tribo-charge type spray guns, etc. SOLUTION: This powder coating contains a graft polymer having a polystyrene main chain and graft chains each having a skeleton of the formula [R1 is a 11-17C hydrocarbon; R2 , R3 are each H, a 1-8C hydrocarbon; R4 is a 1-12C alkylene which may contain an ether bond in the group; X<-> is an anion; (n) is 2-100] and having a volume-average particle diameter of 7-20μm. The content of the graft polymer is 0.5-10 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of a binding resin. The graft polymer is obtained e.g. by introducing the graft chains to the functional group parts of a functional group-having styrenic resin (e.g. styrene/ chloromethylene styrene copolymer).
