PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure the groove shape of a grooved roller without damaging the groove of the roller. SOLUTION: The groove 15 of a grooved roller 14 is imaged by a camera 20. The image signal showing the groove 15 from the camera 20 is output to an image processor, and white and black binarized. A CPU obtains the positional data in Y-X coordinates of profile points for constituting the profile of the groove 14. The CPU calculates the pitch P of the grooves 15, the irregularityαof the diameter, and oblique anglesβ,γof the both side oblique surfaces of the groove 15 based on the data, and displays the calculated results together with the shape of the groove 15 on a display 45. |
