PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the connection control of a cell area of a shared cell memory. SOLUTION: Cells stored in a shared cell memory 2 from a cell multiplex circuit 1 are read by a cell demultiplexer circuit 3 and demultiplexed for each output line. The storage/read is conducted with a control circuit 4 by using a table 5 such as an associate storage memory. An idle cell area or an output circuit number, an output sequence number and a memory address of the shared cell memory are stored in the table 5 in pairs corresponding to the cell storage or read to/from the shared cell memory respectively, and the memory address is retrieved by using the idle cell area or the output circuit number or the output sequence number as a retrieval key, and the idle cell area of the shared cell memory and queuing of the stored cell are controlled. |
