<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a packing material which can keeping cucumbers from forming pores in their tissues by prohibiting the formation of ethanol and acetaldehyde that causes the pore formation in their piths, wilting and strange odors. SOLUTION: Cucumbers are seal-packaged with a material which permeates oxygen at a rate of 6-35cc/24h.atm, carbon dioxide at a rate of 3.6-39.4cc/24 h.atm at 35 deg.C and steam of below 40gr/24h.m<2> (according to JIS Z 0208, at 40 deg.C, 90% RH, 0.1mm).</p> |
