<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent misdiscrimination between a vehicle mounted with an on-vehicle machine with an automatic toll paying function (ETC vehicle) and a non-ETC vehicle by arranging sensors in a communication area of a toll gate, and stopping vehicle information transmission and reception, which are started when a 1st sensor detects a vehicle, when a next sensor detects the vehicle. SOLUTION: To send and receive information between the toll gate 1 and the ETC vehicle 3 mounted with an on-vehicle machine with an automatic toll paying function by a nonstop automatic toll collection system, 1st and 2nd sensors 9a and 9b for vehicle detection are arranged at a specific interval in a white void part 10 in the communication area 7 of a transmitting and receiving antenna 8 provided to the gate type support 5 of the toll gate 1. Once the 1st sensor 9a detects the head part of the ETC vehicle 3 traveling on a passage 4 toward the toll gate 1, information begins to be transmitted and received between the toll gate 1 and this ETC vehicle 3 and when the 2nd sensor 9b detects the head of the ETC vehicle 3, the transmission and reception of the vehicle information are stopped.</p> |
