PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep specified valve timing without complicating a variable valve timing mechanism. SOLUTION: A VVT mechanism 14 has a cam sprocket 5 and an impeller 37 which is arranged inside the sprocket 25 and fixed to an intake side cam shaft. The impeller 37 has a cylindrical part 38 and four blades 39 equally spaced on an outer periphery of the cylindrical part 38. The blade 39 is housed in each recession 43 formed on the cam sprocket 25. A plate 46 is arranged in each groove 45 formed on an outer periphery of each blade 39. The plate 46 is pressurized against an inner peripheral surface of the recession 43 by elastic force of a plate spring 47. |
