PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve safety by opening a deposit account while transferring an amount within the remainder of an existent deposit account, extinguishing that opened account after the lapse of a prescribed opening period and transferring the deposit remained at the extinguishment into the existent deposit account. SOLUTION: The contents of transactions such as deposit payment, reception, transfer and time limited deposit account opening are displayed on the operating screen of an ATM 4, the amount to be transferred from the deposit account already opened in this bank by a deposit person to the time limited deposit account is inquired on that display, and the deposit person inputs the desired amount. Then, a host computer 2 investigates whether transfer is enabled or not by retrieving a deposit account master 3a and when it is possible, the time limited deposit account is opened by transferring that amount within the remainder of the deposit from the deposit account to the time limited deposit account. After the lapse of its opening period, the time limited deposit account is extinguished and the deposit remained at the time of extinguishment is transferred to the existent deposit account. Thus, even when a password number is stolen, damage can be reduced. |
