PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To assist musical composition so that musically rich music which has a flexible melody and adequate consonance can be composed for set code data. SOLUTION: With a mouse 4, pitch data corresponding to code data of a set chord are inputted to a CPU 1. The CPU 1 detects the degree of consonance of the inputted pitch data with the set code data and a note display color for the inputted pitch data is determined according to the degree of consonance by referring to a table in a program/data ROM 2. Then a VDP(video display processor) 6 transfers image data on the note in the determined display color from a work RAM 4 to a VRAM 8 in response to a write command of the CPU 1 and writes it, and then displays a note in a different display color on a television 12 or prints it in the color at a printer part 5 according to the degree of consonance. |
