PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote network management system by which a network can remotely, economically and easily be managed while the security of information on terminal equipment is guaranteed. SOLUTION: The remote network management system consists of a remote manager 2, a backbone LAN 3, an LAN 5 and a user side manager 6, etc. The remote manager 2 and the user side manager 6 can transmit/receive electronic mail. The remote manager 3 transmits the electronic mail containing a predetermined instruction, and the user side manager 6 receives the electronic mail. The electronic mail is severely checked by the protecting function of the user side manager 6, only the suitable instruction is executed, and the result is transmitted from the user side manager 6 to the remote manager 2. |
