PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a food packed in a closed container excellent in sealing performance of the container even in low-temperature sterilization, capable of preventing contamination with miscellaneous microorganisms during preservation, storable for several months, edible by simply opening the container when eaten and to provide a method for producing the food. SOLUTION: A cooked food 3 is packed into a container having a brim-like projected part 4 at the circumferential edge of an opening part. The opening part is covered with a film material 2 and the circumferential edge part of the film material 2 is bonded to the projected part 4 to give the objective food packed in a closed container. The cooked food 3 is packed into the container having the brim-like projected part 4 at the circumferential edge of the opening part. The opening part is covered with the film material 2, the peripheral edge part of the film material is bonded to the projected part and the opening part of the container is sealed. The food is sterilized at a low temperature and successively kept at 0-10 deg.C. |
