PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute recording with good quality by eliminating bad effect to a paper by a method wherein a moving speed of a carriage at recording by a black color ink is greater than that by a yellow, magenta or cyan color ink. SOLUTION: When thermally sublimable inks of four colors are overlapped to form an image of a gray color or a black color and a density of the image is greater than a predetermined level, a moving speed of a carriage 4 at the recording by the black color ink is greater than that by a yellow, magenta or cyan color ink. The applying energy to a thermal head 7 at the recording by the black color ink is lower than that by the yellow, magenta or cyan color ink. In order to prevent thermal deformation of a paper, driving rotation speed of a driving means such as a stepping motor that reciprocates the carriage 4 is controlled by a control section 25 corresponding to the density of the image. |
