PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shape a buff of which shape is lost due to wear into the optimum shape to reduce the frequency of replacement of the buff and stabilize machining quality of buff polishing to automate high-precision buff polishing by providing a dresser means having a dresser which shapes the buff. SOLUTION: A dresser part 12 consists of a dresser 12A which grinds and shapes a buff and a dresser loading plate 12B on which the dresser 12A is put. Moreover, the dresser 12A is formed into a cylindrical shape which is substantially similar to outer dimension of a rotary drum, and a grinding part 12C is formed in outer peripheral part on one end side. The grinding part 12C has a tapered shape in which the dimension of diameter is reduced gradually toward a tip part, and grinding particles such as diamond particle are embedded over a surface of the outer peripheral part. The dresser 12A presses the buff in the same way as the case where it is held by a chucking part to polish the rotary drum, and the buff of which shape is lost due to wear is ground and shaped into a predetermined shape. |
