PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical sheet excellent in heat resistance, uniformity of retardation and adhesion to other films constituting various types of displays by using a polymer obtained by polymerizing a monomer composing a specified norbornene derivative through ring opening or a hydrogenation product therefrom. SOLUTION: This sheet is made from a polymer obtained by polymerizing a monomer mixture comprising at least one norbornene derivative represented by the formula (wherein A and B are each one hydrogen atom or a 1-10C hydrocarbon group; X and Y are each one hydrogen atom or a monovalent organic group, provided that at least either of X and Y is a polar group other than hydrogen atom and a hydrocarbon group; and is 0 or 1) or copolymerizing this monomer with a monomer copolymerizable therewith through ring opening or a hydrogenation product therefrom and has a thickness of 0.5-5mm, an unevenness of thickness of±50μm or below and a surface roughness Rmax of 0.2μm or below.
