PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the structure of a bolt feeder itself and reduce cost of production by making a lot of bolts automatically feedable en bloc to a bolt insertional hole formed in the specified arrangement to a work, and shortening a cycle time sharply. SOLUTION: Bolts 5 being alighningly conveyed in vertical one line from a rectilinear feeder 12 are subject to equi-pitch indexing with the number of pieces of integral times of 4 at an indexing unit 13 intermittently rotating, while four pieces existing in a square vertex position of the indexed bolt 5 are combined as a set, pushing up this four-in-a-set with a push rod, and they are held up by each chuck jaw of chuck units 20. When these plural chuck units 20 holds the bolts by four pieces, the whole is horizontally shifted and made to go down, the bolts 5 held by each chuck unit 20 are dropped with its own weight, in a lump, to an insertion hole correspondent to a cylinder head. During an interval ranging from pushing up the bolt 5 by the push rod to dropping it to the bolt insertional hole by its own weight, a keep rod is placed on the bolt 5 in advance, and a vertical motion of the bolt 5 is stabilized by the keep rod. |
