PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a melt transfer ink image receiving sheet having easy control of pore size on the surface of a receiving layer, high recording density, excellent gradation reproducibility, dot reproducibility and color clarity. SOLUTION: The ink image receiving sheet comprises a sheet-like support, and a porous ink receiving layer formed of a resin-containing liquid containing a water dispersion type resin as a main component on one surface of the support, wherein the water-holding value by a potassium permanganate method of the resin is in a range 5 to 450sec at the 38wt.% of solid content concentration and the mean pore size on the surface of the porous ink receiving layer is in a range of 0.5 to 30μm. |
