PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to store unstored data at the time of restarting the operation of a computer system stopped due to the occurance of a fault. SOLUTION: When a system fault occurs in operation, a main control part 17 samples dump data sampled by a memory dumping part 14, develops the sampled data in a system memory 11, saves only the data part of software in an operation processing part 12 which is the cause of fault occurrence to a file device 16, and deletes the remaining part from the memory 11. Then the software is restored to a state held before the occurrence of the fault based on the saved data part, the storage of unstored data is instructed, and then the operation of the system is restarted from the state held immediately before the sampling of the dump data. |
